Qaeda Suspect Facing Trial in New York Dies in Custody

Prosecutors said Nazih Abdul-Hamed al-Ruqai, who had liver cancer, died Friday night, soon before he was to be tried in connection with the 1998 bombings of two U.S. Embassies in East Africa.
